Manufactured from the highest quality, UV protected, non-absorbent, marine-grade PE/EVA foam. Each sheet has a high bond pressure sensitive 3M adhesive backing, making it easy to install. It’s innovative brushed surface has a luxurious comfortable feel under foot, while giving you exceptional traction when wet or dry. It can also lessons fatigue from prolonged standing or working on hard decks, in addition to this, it has vibration and sound proofing qualities with an element of protect from mishaps that causes scratches and dents.

Yes. Our designers, under your guidance, will create you the most bespoke pad that can feature sweeping curves, sharp angles, logos, artwork, text, cut throughs, drop edges and unique traction patterns.
This would depend on a number of factors; whether we provide the templating service, how much time our design team spends digitalising, the amount of machine work, the overall surface area of the material and whether we install the product for you.
2300mm length x 1100 mm wide.
It’s not recommended, due to an exceptionally small shrink rate a gap may appear over time. We suggest introducing a 12mm gap to be built into the design.
Above 15 degrees Celsius on a dry dust and grease free surface.
Life expectancy, with proper preparation is estimated between 5-7 years.
Use hot soapy water and a slightly stiff brush.
If we install SurfDek for you, there is a 36 month workmanship and material warranty. There is no warranty given on self installed decking due to possible outside issues that may be present during installation.
SurfDek marine products are made of an EVA type-foam material, if scratched with excessive pressure it will rip or tear. It is however a closed cell foam so you shouldn’t have worry about absorption. We can not honour the warranty if your pet damages the product.
If you attend to any spillage promptly in most cases it will be fine. However rust, fuel, fuel stabilisers, bird droppings and cooking sauces can stain if not attended to quickly.
Our adhesive will stick perfectly to a painted surface, but the bond will then only be as good as the paint’s to the surface.
Do not use a jet wash on your SurfDek boat decking. High pressure water jets can damage your decking, however low pressure hoses are fine.

Our pads are manufactured from the highest quality, UV protected, non-absorbent marine grade RTM-22™ (Radical Traction Material). Each traction piece/sheet has a high bond, pressure sensitive, 3M adhesive backing, making it easy to install, just peel and stick, no specialist tools required. RTM-22™ is a new brushed foam formula, meaning no diamonds or pyramids. This creates an even better board feel whilst still maximising grip.
RTM-22™ is proudly created in North East of England by SurfDek and it provides the very best traction you can buy.
We have detailed installation instructions here in order to get the best adhesion possible to your board.
We have tested SurfDek traction pads on foam boards for a number of hours and in a number of conditions. If installed correctly, SurfDek traction pads offer a satisfactory adhesion to foam boards.
We have tested SurfDek traction pads on second hand boards which may have already been traditionally waxed or are no longer have a perfectly flat surface (dings etc). If installed correctly and within reason, SurfDek traction pads will adhere to these surfaces.
Obviously you need to be able to move your feet when you need to, which you still can using our traction pads, when we talk about maximised grip we mean when your feet are engaged.
One Hex Pad Pack contains – 7 full hexagons (11cm x 9.5cm x 0.5cm), 4 half hexagons and a y-shape spacing template. These 9 hexgons cover roughly the space of a regular tail pad.
We recommend the following:
1 Pack – To create a tail pad
2 Packs – To create a large front pad
3 Packs – A full board including tail pad and a large front pad
We recommend you use our Hex Pads with a channel between each one, using the y-shape spacing template we provide. This allows for more grip and even greater performance as water can run off the pads. It also reduces the overall weight across a larger surface area when using multiple pads. If you prefer to of course, you can use our Hex Pads butted up together with one another to make larger pads.
