Sand Dancers | Watch The Documentary

Sand Dancers tells the story of Jimmy Simpson, a quadriplegic surfer with cerebral palsy, and the network of carers, instructors and innovators who help make it possible for him to follow his love of surfing.

The film also shines a spotlight on South Shields (UK), featuring local figures and organisations including Jimmy’s surf instructor Nick Jones, South Shields Surf School, SurfDek — the only company in the world producing adaptive components for surfboards – and Red Stamp Productions, all of whom are from or based in the town.
