Wizz! | Super Hydrophilic Coating – 100ml
A biodegradable, non-toxic super hydrophilic coating.
Lasts multiple sessions.
Non-intrusive, does not damage the surface.
100ml bottle.
A hydrophilic layer helps water stay attached to the surface. This increases overall stability by creating smoother flow as well as reducing cavitation and ventilation.

Science
In essence, a hydrophilic surface helps to maintain optimal hydrodynamic flow characteristics by interacting favourably with water. This leads to a more efficient, durable, and stable experience on a surface through water.
Cavitation Suppression
Cavitation occurs when local water pressure drops below vapour pressure, causing vapour bubbles to form and then collapse violently as pressure recovers. This is common on fast-moving marine surfaces such as hydrofoils, propellers, rudders, and pumps.
Reduced Surface Damage
The collapse of cavitation bubbles creates intense micro-shockwaves that can cause pitting, erosion, and material fatigue over time. Suppressing cavitation helps protect the surface and extend service life.
Improved Flow Stability
Cavitation bubbles disturb the boundary layer and can cause sudden loss of lift, drag spikes, or inconsistent handling. Reducing cavitation keeps flow smoother and more predictable, especially at high speed.
Reduced Noise and Vibration
Bubble collapse generates characteristic noise and vibration. Lower cavitation levels mean quieter, smoother operation.
VENTILATION SUPRESSION
Ventilation occurs when air from the atmosphere is drawn into the water flow, rather than vapour forming from pressure drop. This often happens when a surface pierces near the waterline or trailing vortices pull air downward.
Maintained Grip and Lift
Air ingestion can cause hydrofoils, propellers, or control surfaces to lose effective contact with dense water, reducing lift or thrust. Preventing ventilation preserves performance.
Improved Handling Stability
Ventilation can cause sudden surging, loss of lift, erratic steering response, or instability. Reducing it gives more consistent and controllable behaviour.
Reduced Noise and Disturbance
Entrained air can create rumbling, chatter, vibration, and turbulent wake effects. Limiting ventilation improves smoothness and comfort.
Enhanced Wetting and Adhesion
Continuous Water Film: Hydrophilic surfaces attract water, promoting the formation of a continuous, thin water film over the surface, rather than encouraging discrete droplets or large air pockets. This is particularly relevant when the surface is not fully submerged or is transitioning in and out of the water.
Improved Performance at Low Angles of Attack (0<90 = hydrophilic): Research indicates that the difference in cavitation and ventilation inception is more apparent at smaller angles of attack, where the flow is smoother and more attached. In these conditions, the hydrophilic surface properties lead to improved flow characteristics compared to hydrophobic surfaces. When applied to a surface, Wizz! exhibits a contact angle of very close to 0 degrees (super hydrophilic).

Use Wizz, it does make the difference...
I couldn't believe the difference, it was ridiculous!
Chris –
Buttery smooth through the water
I did feel that the foil was a lot more buttery smooth through the water
Ben –
Impressive for sure.
I used some of the Wizz on a newish high aspect foil. I applied to the front and back foils plus mast. There was definitely a big improvement on glide. Maybe some extra speed also but not as noticeable as the glide. Impressive for sure.
