Storm Babet barrelled into the UK last week, causing chaos to a number of areas. After a day of 50mph+ onshore winds on Friday 20th October, the sustained huge ENE swell (25ft @ 12 seconds) brought Tynemouth’s The Middens wave to life on Saturday 21st. Lighter offshore wind meant for a big, knarled and groomed in places left hander for a handful of surfers.
