After a day of 50mph+ onshore winds on Friday 20th October, the sustained huge ENE swell (25ft @ 12 seconds) brought Tynemouth’s The Middens wave to life on Saturday 21st. Lighter offshore wind meant for a big, knarled and groomed in places left hander for a handful of surfers.

Part of the Boardmasters Festival 2022, the Boardmasters Open took place this weekend at Fistral Beach, Newquay. The weekend consisted of the WSL Animal Pro (Men’s and Women’s), WSL BFGoodrich Longboard Pro (Men’s and Women’s) and the Havaianas Juniors (Boys and Girls) WSL qualifying series events.
